No, prehistoric women didn’t spend their days sweeping the cave! Rather, as recent analyses of ancient burial sites show, they were also warriors and hunters. And did you also know that men are not better at parking than women, but that video game professionals of all genders are the best at parking? Whether in archaeology, biology or neuroscience, many scientific theories appear in a different light when you look at them through a new lens. In 24 illustrated essays based on current research, science journalist Lucia Sillig deconstructs our preconceived ideas and those of the scientists who contributed to their creation.

Presented by: Lucia Sillig has been interested in science ever since she lay sleepless in bed as a child trying to figure out how the automatic streetlights in her street worked and thinking about the end of infinity. After completing her degree in physics, she began working as a science journalist. Today she works for Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS). On her journey through the world of science, Lucia Sillig realised that there is a lack of women there, but also that there are many scientific arguments against the social inequality of women and men.
