In the industrial age of the 20th century, learning by default made economic sense, as the majority of people contributed their work performance to scalable production processes. With robotization, with offshoring, and at the latest with digital transformation, we need a new approach to learning: New Learning, the learning of the 21st century.
New Learning is based on three perspectives and three characteristics:
- Individual: self-determined; taking my talents and competencies into account throughout my life.
- Team: collaborative; allowed and encouraged error culture; co-creative
- Organization: networked; values-oriented; people & skills management
New Learning creates analog and digital learning – so-called blended learning – which enables optimal learning conditions according to the situation and the people. Learning is understood as a process of try, fail and learn.
